Catania has a bit of everything, doesn’t it? 😀

It’s a sad one, Lannie! Young Agata was tortured for not accepting the advances of o Roman prefect and holding on to her faith. Part of it was cutting her breasts and the wounds miraculously healed while in prison. Le minne din Sant’Agata commemorate this episode with the small cakes that look like a girls’ breasts.

I dont’t know if it’s mind blowing but I did find things to love about it: it smelled like glycine flowers in March and that lava stone pavement kept the warmth well into the evening. I loved the fish market, but I loved even more the best Impepata di cozze I ever had there 😀

The Le minne di Sant’Agata looks so light and dainty, I’m curious what the story behind it is.

While nice, it didn’t really blow my mind. The fish market was probably our highlight. So lively and entertaining
