It’s a gorgeous city, much loved and visited over many years by my family and me when I was growing up in Newcastle. Decades later I took my Kiwi husband there and he loved it just as much. I think you’ve captured the spirit of the place really well and all the top things to do. Hotel wise, we’ve stayed at The Principal York (used to be the Station Hotel, very handy if you’re on the train) and The Grand. Really enjoyed both. Our favourite eating place was the fabulous Rattle Owl in Micklegate.

I can’t wait to visit York. Even more so now that I know Terry’s Chocolate Orange is made there. One of my favourite chocolate things, and I love all chocolate.

We loved York Anda! It’s a charming city. Our favorite was the Minster and taking a boat cruise. A lovely memory for me!

I just love York. The Shambles are my favourite along with York Minster. I remember going on a school trip to York and doing Rubbing Art in York Minster.

We went through York in November a few years ago. Unfortunately, it was too crowded so we kept going. We’d love to go back though and you’ve given us a glimpse of what we missed.

I’ve never considered going to York but 365 pubs convinced me otherwise!
